Payments Due

John Kirby, accounts re­ceivable supervisor, said a $10 late charge will be added to a student’s deferred pay­ment account if it is not paid by the deadline, Saturday, Dec. 5.

Students who have an out­standing debt remaining at the end of the semester will be “administratively with­drawn” from their courses.

Mexico

Delores Sloan, director in­stitute la sonrisa in Cuer­navaca, Mexico, will give an orientation to all students who are interested in spend­ing the Spring Semester in Mexico, Monday, Nov. 23, in the President’s Dining Room.

Commentary: Remembrance of a Dodgers legacy

At 11 a.m. on Nov. 3, Mariachi Plaza was flooded with a wave of Dodger blue. A 52-foot tall mural of Fernando Valenzuela gazed down on the city of Los Angeles. An ofrenda for El Toro sat just beneath the mural, celebrating his life. The smell of incense was strong throughout First Street.

Students to bask in Japanese culture

The University of La Verne will offer a  January class  called Japan Study Tour, led by the department of art and art history. Students who participate will get the opportunity to travel to the cities of Kyoto and Tokyo.
