Tournament Action

The University of La Verne women’s volleyball team won its first two matches in yesterday’s opening action in the AIAW National Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The Leos defeated Trinity University 15-3, 15-0 and swept by Gallaudet College by scores of 15-5 and 15-8. The Leos were to take on Linfield College (also 2-0) last night in a possible battle for today’s number one seed. The tournament continues until the finals which are scheduled for tomorrow night.

New volleyball coach focuses on process rather than results

Randi Taylor-Toomay has been announced as the Leopards’ new head coach for the volleyball team. Since joining the coaching staff in 2019, she has contributed to the legacy of success the team has upheld these last few seasons.
