ULV’s Chamber Singers and jazz and recorder ensembles are looking for a few talented individuals to join them in their musical endeavors.

Private class instruction in piano, voice and guitar is also offered through the Department of Music.

Farmer’s Market

Fruit, flowers, gifts and collectibles are available at the Pomona Valley Farmer’s Market every Saturday, rain or shine, in Pomona. The Market is located at Second Street and Garey Avenue and is open from 7:30-11:30 a.m.

Caltech Lecture Series

The Caltech Lecture Series offers a variety of lectures, from architecture to nanotechnology. All lectures are held in Pasadena at Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium.

Batman Forever

The Claremont School of Theology is offering a screening of “Batman Forever” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28. Cost is $2 per person and the film will be shown in Mudd Theater. For more information, call (909) 626-3521.

Nixon Library

Roger Clinton, brother of President Bill Clinton, and his band The Politics will open a new exhibit “Rockin the White House: Four Decades of Presidents and Popular Music” at the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda. The exhibit explores America’s changing tastes in music by highlighting musical preferences of presidents and their families. Billed as “Nixonpalooza,” the event kicks off at noon tomorrow. Open House

The Los Angeles County Open House ‘95 features plays, art exhibits and dance and music recitals at no charge on Saturday, Oct. 7.
