Deadline changed

The deadline for Prism has been extended to Friday, Oct. 25. Submission boxes and forms are located in the Student Center, the lobby of Miller Hall and outside Miller Hall 216. If there are any questions, call Elizabeth Santilena at ext. 6312 or Carol W. Fetty at ext. 4360.

Town Meeting

The University Town Meeting is Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. On the agenda is the State of the University Address by President Stephen Morgan and the Northridge State film on disaster preparedness.

Survival Seminar

The Career Development Center is hosting its fourth annual Senior Survival Seminar on Oct. 23, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The seminar will consist of various workshops which will provide information on a wide range of topics. Call the Career Development Center at ext 4054 for information.

Candidate Show

State and Congressional candidates will appear on a live call-in show on LVTV Channel 3 Monday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m.

Tommy Randle, running for the 29th District State Senate seat, and David Levering, challenger to David Dreier in the 28th District House race, are scheduled to participate.

Hot Spots

The International Studies Institute is hosting another “Hot Spots” session in the President’s Dining Room on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11:30 a.m. The topic will be “Iran and Its Neighbors.”

Trump fleeces FEMA

After reports surfaced on Sept. 11 of this year about the Trump administration diverting money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s budget to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Administration confirmed that money was transferred from FEMA to ICE for their Enforcement and Removal Operations team, which arrests and deports immigrants who are found to be in the U.S. illegally.
