With the elections on the way, many people will want to know more about the presidential outlook. The internet can help them find last-minute campaign facts and answers to many of their questions.
For a comprehensive index of campaign-related links, as well as a refresher course on how the government is supposed to run, the Web is available.
A program on the Web called Project Vote Smart can help with any presidential research people may have. It provides the most current candidate information, including party conventions and also a connection to Bill Clinton and Bob Dole’s official and unofficial home pages.
People are also allowed to find instant access to the most current results and issues of national interest in a “Voter’s Booth” by dialing up PoliticsUSA (http://www.politicsnow.com) on the Web.
Information on Election ’96 books, the Electricard, which is a presidential campaign diskette containing electronic election memorabilia, and even a look at Bob Dole and Bill Clinton humorous campaign bumper stickers can be found on the Web.
Sophomore Scott Newbould said “a lot of people are into computers now and it’s easier to find the facts.”
MTV’s Rock the Vote (http://www.mtv.com/choosorlose), Choose or Lose campaign can be found for the young adults perspective on the Web also.
Sophomore Dyane Galindo said the internet can be a great resource. “The more informed the voter is, the better.”
