Soul Food Dinner
Students are invited to continue in the celebration of Black History Month next Thursday, Feb. 19, with the Annual Soul Food Dinner.
Dr. James Benson and his ensemble of jazz musicians will perform throughout the evening, as Aramark food services serves guests and students of the event.
The Soul Food Dinner begins at 4 p.m. in the Davenport Dining Room. Students with meal cards may use their card, while guests must pay $7 for the dinner.
Acetone Band Performance
Vapor Records’ Acetone band will perform at Rhino Records in Claremont tomorrow at 5 p.m.
Acetone has been featured in a variety of music magazines, including CMJ, Option, LA Weekly, BAM and The Beat.
In addition, they have toured the United States and Canada within the last year, opening for Spiritualized. This March, they will reunite with Spiritualized as the opening act for the band’s England tour.
Rhino Records is located at the corner of Bonita and Yale in the City of Claremont.
Jordan’s Sports
With proper proof of identification, La Verne students are entitled to free access of the pool tables at Jordan’s Sports Bar & Grill on Tuesday nights.
