The University of La Verne’s Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met in the West Dining Room Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 8:43 a.m. Forum members voted on the allocation of funds for January Interterm’s Mexico trip and the Political Academic Issues Committee.
Protestant Campus Minister Debbie Roberts approached the Forum to request an additional $1,400 for the January Interterm trip to Mexico. Previously, Roberts was approved for an allocation of $1,200 from the Forum’s Financial Review Board (FRB). The Forum discussed the matter and voted against the allocation of these funds.
Additional funds for the Political Academic Issues Committee were approved as requested, making the total budget for the committee $2,600 for the year from the original figure of $1,200. The additional funds were approved in order to accommodate any presentations, activities and speakers the committee hopes to feature this year. The committee was established in order to present the University community with some environmental, political and societal issues encountered on a day-to-day basis.
