The University of La Verne’s Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met in the West Dining Room Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 8:40 a.m. The Forum reviewed arrangements for the Holiday Dinner, voted on allocation of funds for Model United Nations and discussed the vacancy for Forum member positions.
The semi-formal Holiday Dinner will be on Tuesday in the Student Center gymnasium. The dinner is free of charge to commuters and on-campus residents may use their meal cards for the dinner.
Seating will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the lighting of the tree and a dance.
Considering to allocate additional funds to the Model United Nations (MUN) group, the Forum voted to deny the request. Having been approved for their request of $1,200 from the Financial Review Board, MUN requested an additional $1,800 for the annual MUN convention that takes place in New York this year.
As of the conclusion of this semester, at least two positions will be vacated on the Forum. ASF will hold a special election, by which members of the Forum will vote on individuals to fill the positions.
