Photojournalist to Speak

Tina Manley will speak about her “Las Familias: Families of Rural Central America” photo exhibit Thursday, March 4 at 6 p.m. in Founders Auditorium. A free reception follows in the Carlson Gallery.

Fashion Show

The Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum will be hosting a fashion show Thursday, March 4 at 11:30 a.m. in the Quad. Windsor Fashions and Gary’s Tuxedo will be on campus to demonstrate some of their latest formal fashions. Lunch will be offered free of charge to commuter students, while those with meal plans may use their meal card.

‘Open & Closed’

Prism Magazine

The submission deadline for the University of La Verne’s literary magazine, Prism, has been extended to Friday, March 5. Works of short story, poetry and photography are being accepted for the upcoming publication. For more information, please e-mail senior Anthony Loriso at

‘The Other Sister’

This Touchstone Pictures film opens in wide release today. Starring Juliette Lewis and Giovanni Ribisi, it is the love story of two mentally challenged people who are forced to fight with their loved ones in order to love each other.
