The University of La Verne’s Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met in the West Dining Room on Wednesday, March 24, at 8:40 a.m. Forum members updated plans for the Spring Formal, confirmed schedules for the Week of the Bands.
As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, only 101 tickets were redeemed and/or purchased for ASF’s Spring Formal. The event, themed “A Night in Cancun,” is scheduled for April 10 at the American Way Cultural Center in Anaheim.
Due to a possible lack of ticket sales, it has been decided that if at least 200 tickets were not redeemed and/or purchased by the deadline date – today – the dance will be cancelled.
The cost of tickets is $20 for couples, $15 for singles and $8 per person for groups of five or more people. The University Bookshoppe will also be selling tickets for the dance during its regular business hours.
As part of its entertainment committee, the Forum has scheduled a Week of the Bands for April 12-16. Four bands – including Billy’s Sister, Joy the Bug Band and EWC – have been scheduled to perform on an individual day of that week.
Billy’s Sister, an alternative music band, will perform Monday, and a second band, whose title and musical genre was not confirmed, will perform the following day. Joy the Bug Band’s alternative blends will entertain the ULV community Thursday, while EWC, a hip-hop band, will conclude the week Friday.
