Softball splits doubleheader with UC San Diego to close season

The La Verne softball team began a three-game series against the Cal Lutheran Regals on April 28 at Campus West, winning game one, 3-2, thanks to a dramatic play by senior left fielder Marissa Acosta.
After getting swept by the Whittier Poets last week, the La Verne softball team came out with a vengeance when they began a three game series against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas at Campus West on April 7, winning the ballgame, 8-3.
The La Verne softball team welcomed the Whittier Poets to Campus West on March 31 for an afternoon conference play matchup, but La Verne struggled both offensively and defensively, losing 5-0.
