Track shines beneath cloudy skies

The men and women of the University of La Verne's track and field team traveled to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' Fritz B. Burns Stadium on Saturday to take part in a quad meet that featured three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponents.

Eight Leos participate in pageant

After 10 weeks of rehearsal, including being judged on swimsuits, evening gowns and talent and being interviewed by a panel of six judges, the "Miss La Verne" pageant is over. A group of nine women, eight of who were University of La Verne students, competed in the Miss La Verne beauty pageant.
