Clothesline Project
Iota Delta Sorority and the Associated Students Federation (ASF) Forum is presenting, “Break the Silence,” a week-long philanthropic project that will begin on Monday, March 27-Friday, March 31 at the Quad from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The project will focus on violence against women and children.
Diversity Speaker
The Institute for Multicultural Research and Campus Diversity is presenting, “African American Male Psychology: Psychological Challenges in the Journey of Living,” a lecture by Dr. Joseph L. White on Tuesday, March 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Founders Hall.
Dr. White is currently Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine, where he teaches along with directing ethnic studies and cross-cultural programs.
As part of the day’s events, the Office of the President is holding a University of La Verne Community Breakfast that will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. in Fasnacht Court. There will also be a luncheon held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the President’s Dining Room. For those interested in attending the luncheon, call ext. 4397.
Study Help
Students who need extra help studying for midterms will have the opportunity to attend a workshop offered by the Learning Enhancement Center that will be held in the Library’s Hogan Seminar Room on Monday, March 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. For more information, call, ext. 4342.
