Joseph Brandolino, former adjunct professor of law at the University of La Verne, has been appointed a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge by Governor Gray Davis.
Brandolino, 39, has served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles since 1990. In 1998 he taught civil procedure at the University’s law campus in Woodland Hills. Currently he specializes in complex narcotics and money laundering. He gained notoriety as the lead prosecutor in Operation Casa Blanca, the country’s largest money laundering investigation. Brandolino received his bachelor’s degree in science from Providence College and a juris doctorate degree from Harvard Law School. He replaces the retired Judge Sherman Smith.
