Sunday, University of La Verne students and the local community will have the opportunity to enjoy the rhythmical sounds and words of the Snap Snap Poets.

The performance will be on Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Founders Auditorium.

“Whispers in My Ear, Poetry with Jazz” is an ensemble of poetry and jazz mixed together in a complimentary, euphonious, and entertaining venue.

According to Sharon Cruz-McKinney, also a participant in the performance, the Snap Snap Poets have performed at places such as the Pomona Valley Mining Company and the Phoenix Bookstore in San Bernardino.

The group of poets include several special guests: Lewis Saunders, Maura Gale, Frank Wallace, and ULV’s Sharon Cruz-McKinney.

Celebrity guest Mother Love, former host of UPN’s now defunct talk show “Forgive or Forget” will make an appearance.

Tickets are available through Cruz-McKinney at ext. 4026, or in the Office of Admissions. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $10 or $5 for students. To buy tickets in advance for $8, call Lisa Brown at (909) 899-6277.
