Paul Weller is ‘In the City’

The legendary British frontman of The Jam and The Style Council will be performing at 8 p.m. tonight at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. Weller, known as the “modfather of Brit-pop music,” is on tour to promote his upcoming solo album “As Is Now,” which will be released Oct. 10.

Jazz Festival in Full Swing

Bring some lawn chairs, relax and enjoy to celebrated jazz musicians at the Brea Jazz Festival. This outdoor concert series starts at 7 p.m. on both Fridays and Saturdays until Oct. 1.

Tonight the festival features jazz singer Annie Sellick and the Susie Hansen Latin Jazz Band are scheduled to perform on Saturday.

‘Unforgettable Invisibles’

Brianna Roth’s senior performing and writing thesis, “Unforgettable Invisibles,” will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Saturday and Sunday on the main stage of the Dailey Theatre. General admission is $5, while admission for students with ID is $3.

‘White Dunk’

The Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions is housing “White Dunk,” an exhibit featuring artwork from acclaimed Japanese artists who were challenged by Nike to create artwork using the company’s white sneaker as a canvas.

‘White Dunk’ will be showcased Wednesdays through Sundays until Sept. 30.
