A head-on collision at the corner of D Street and Arrow Highway occurred on Wednesday at 9:14 p.m.
The accident rattled the drivers of both vehicles, though serious injuries were not immediately apparent to the drivers.
The accident was between a white Honda Prelude and a blue Toyota pickup.
Both vehicles were driven by men who carried no passengers with them officer Chris Fenner said.
Although there were no visible injuries, both parties complained of pain and a stretcher was brought for one of the men, but was not used in the end.
“His stepdad is driving him to the hospital right now,” said Serena Debov, the sister of one of the men involved in the accident. “He completely blacked out during the accident.”
Police detoured drivers around the intersection and tow trucks removed the cars, which both appeared to have severe frontal damage.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the La Verne Police Department.
