Beginning Monday the Campus Activities Board and Associated Students of the University of La Verne will be giving out free tickets to the midnight showing of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” that comes out on Nov. 19. The two organizations split the cost of renting out an auditorium at AMC Covina.
“Deathly Hallows” is the first of two movies that make up grand finale to the Harry Potter series.
Published in 1997, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” launched one of the fastest selling book series in history. Followed by the release of the first movie in 2001, Harry Potter quickly became a popular franchise.
Since the book series’ long awaited conclusion in 2007, fans have been eagerly awaiting the final movie to wrap up the franchise’s dramatic cliffhanger left behind after “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”
Join Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley as they embark on the search for Lord Voldemort’s horcruxes and try to save the wizarding world from the Dark Lord and his followers. Without the guidance or protection of their Hogwarts professors, the trio must rely on each other now more than ever.
With dark forces trying to tear them apart, and Death Eaters seizing control of the Ministry of Magic, Harry and his friends must find away to defeat the Dark Lord once and for all.
There are 300 tickets available to students and 100 tickets will be handed out each day.
The tickets are on a first come, first serve basis. The tickets are for traditional undergraduate students of ULV only and no guests will be allowed at the event.
Pick up your ticket from the Campus Center lobby on the following dates and times: Nov. 15 at noon, Nov. 16 at 11 p.m. and Nov. 17 at 4 p.m.
Seating at AMC Covina will be a first come, first served basis as well.
