The spirit of protest reaches La Verne

As unemployment has surged to historic levels during the past month, seniors graduating from the University of La Verne – with college seniors across the country –  are looking to a scary job market. 

Jose Aran, senior business administration major, talks with Jo Jo Delgado, an employee at Quinn CAT Rental Services, Wednesday at the Career and Internship Fair in the Campus Center.

Extra cash can be hard to come by for students with a full-time class schedule and heavy workload.

The University of La Verne currently offers two 16 week semesters and a winter term in January known as “Jan Term” for the academic year. Most universities like Chapman University, UC Berkeley and the Pomona Colleges that are on a semester system offer 15 week semesters instead.
