Faculty Recital

The next faculty recital will feature Danielle Cummins on violin, Benjamin Coyte on cello and Kevin Mills on piano. The recital starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Morgan Auditorium. Admission is free.

‘Alumni Allegories: Dissent’

The Carlson Gallery presents a collaborative project between photography and writing. Students from Sean Bernard’s Writing 307 class will write a written accompaniment to the photographs of 22 alumni of the photography department. The exhibit will open Monday and run through to Dec. 7. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. The reception will be held Nov. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

La Verne Experiences Exhibit

Stories and photographs from alumni who volunteered for Brethren Volun­teer Services, International Voluntary Services, Peace Corps and work camps will be displayed at Wilson Library’s first floor Friday through Sunday.

Taking Back Sunday

Taking Back Sunday will play a 10th anniversary show Wednesday at the Fox Theater in Pomona. Opening acts include Bayside and Man Overboard. Tickets are $25 in advance and $28 at the door. For more information visit foxpomona.com.

The Zoo Foundation

The Zoo Foundation will perform as part of Halloween Boogie at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Truck Stop in Baldwin Park. The show is all ages with tickets at $3.
