West Campus Athletics Complex is the new home for the University of La Verne’s softball and baseball team.

The fields are located in an area off of Wheeler Avenue and Arrow Highway.

Each field will include a new press box, bleachers and batting cages.

The complex will also include two paring lots and a multi-purpose field with lights.

“Campus West is an incredible facility,” Athletic Director Julie Kline said. “Some of the best in the nation, especially in Division III.”

Currently, the baseball team has been playing its home games at Mt. San Antonio College or Rio Honda College in Whittier.

The softball team plays its home games at Wheeler Park in La Verne.

The softball team has not had a home field since the 1999 season.

The first games at the West Campus Athletics Complex are hoped to be played by March 28 as both teams take on Pomona-Pitzer.

The grand opening ceremony for the field is April 8.
