Campus Closed

Campus is closed on Monday in observance of President’s Day.

Chinese New Year Event

CAB is hosting an event to celebrate Chinese New Year from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday in the South Quad. There will be free food, crafts and entertainment.

Library Workshops

The Wilson Library is offering free research and academic technology workshops to students, staff and faculty members from Feb. 10 to April 28. The workshops vary from academic assistance such as citations and library research to software such as Photoshop and GarageBand. The workshops are on first come, first served basis. Participants must register prior to the workshops at library.laverne.edu/workshops-spring-2015. The next workshop is Blackboard and Technology Services in the Library from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the library room 160.

The Quiet Spot

The Quiet Spot weekly meditations started on Feb. 6. Participants can relax at the morning meditation every Tuesday from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and group meditation every Friday from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the Interfaith Chapel. For the morning meditation, the chapel will have candles and participants can have personal prayers or meditation. The group meditations will be guided by different facilitators each week. Meditation pillows and cushions are provided for those needed. For more information, contact University Chaplain Zandra Wagoner at zwagoner@laverne.edu.
