LVPD searches for stabbing suspect

The La Verne Police Department is still searching for a suspect who apparently stabbed a 21-year-old woman resident of La Verne Wednesday.

LVPD officers were called at 6:06 p.m. to Las Flores Park, where they found the woman with stab wounds to her upper body.

She was airlifted to County USC Medical Center, where she was in stable condition and still being treated Thursday.

Her injuries were not life threatening, according to the LVPD report.

According to police, the woman had been walking her dog. when a man in his 20s approached her.

He repeatedly stabbed her then fled on foot from the scene toward White Avenue.

The woman told officers that the she had no connection with the attacker, police said.

The suspect is described a thin white male and was last scene wearing a dark-colored hoodie and blue jeans.

The LVPD is urging anyone with additional information regarding this attack to call the department at 909-596-1913.
