Guest Speaker

Actress, singer and puppeteer Lexy Fridell will speak from 4-5:40 p.m. Thursday in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theatre. Fridell was in the Broadway production of “The Pee-wee Herman Show” and in the off-Broadway production of “Avenue Q.” Fridell was invited to campus by theater department artist-in-residence Alma Martinez.

LeoFM Contest

LeoFM is giving away tickets to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. The contest runs until Tuesday. Tune in to 107.9 FM or listen online at sites.laverne.edu/leofm/listen-live for a chance to win.

Aztlán 2015

The Aztlán 2015 exhibit “From the Hearts of Women” will be featured at the dA Center for the Arts in Pomona. The exhibit honors artist Margaret Garcia and runs until Nov. 21. For more information and a list of participating artists, visit dacenter.org.

‘Living Wild’

The 19th annual Wildlife and Landscape Art Show will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Robert L. Poff Gallery in San Dimas as part of the Festival of Arts. The art show will feature 21 artists, photographers and sculptors. Admission and parking are free.

Auditions

The Grove Theatre in Upland is holding an all-ages open-call audition for two upcoming shows: “Holly Daze Follies” and “Disney’s Little Mermaid.” For “Holly Daze Follies,” auditions will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 p.m. Monday. For “Disney’s Little Mermaid,” auditions will be from 7:30-10 p.m. Sunday and Monday. For more information, visit grovetheatre.com.
