Directing Projects

Students from the theater department will continue to present their senior directing projects at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theatre.

‘An Artistic Exploration’

The music and theater departments will host the event “An Artistic Explora­tion” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theatre. The event will feature music from the ULV West African drumming ensembles, performances from the slam poetry team and voice students from the music department. Admission is free.

Barbershop Show

The music department will present a Disney-themed holiday barbershop show at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Morgan Auditorium. The show will feature performances by Carol and the Belles, 3rd St. Sounds, the B-flat Team and the Showstoppers, plus guest quartets the Lordsburg Brothers and MAJiC Touch. Admission is free for students and $10 for the general public.

Christmas Concert

The 10th annual acoustic Christmas concert will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Lordsburg Taphouse and Grill in downtown La Verne. The concert will feature performances by the Michael Beatty Band and Tracy G. Proceeds will benefit the David and Margaret Youth and Family Services, to help girls who are moving from foster care to transitional living. Admission is free, but the Taphouse is asking for giftcard donations for the girls.

Don Quixote

The Latino Art Museum in Pomona will host a reception for Rodrigo Pala­cios’ exhibit “Don Quixote: A Deconstruc­tion” from 4-9 p.m. Saturday.

The University’s Barbershop Club side-stepped onto the stage behind a large, cardboard cut out of a replica of the most well-known yellow submarine, drawing a gust of laughter from the excited audience.
