There is an opportunity for leaders on campus to take their love for La Verne to the next level. Orientation Week Leader applications are out and the Office of Student Life is looking for new leaders to help welcome the incoming freshman class to the University.
The application is due by noon on March 24 in the Office of Student Life or online.
“Aside from the fun, it is a great leadership opportunity especially for those students who are just getting involved on campus,” Angie Anderson, OWL co-adviser, said. “There are learning experiences of team building, communication, honesty, and it is a great opportunity for all students.”
The coordinators are looking for OWLs that are outgoing, approachable, positive, and knowledgeable. Everyone is encouraged to apply.
“It is a great way to get involved and to show how much passion you have for the University,” sophomore OWL coordinator Jessica Faber said.
As an OWL, students are given a chance to change a freshman’s life.
“OWLs is an opportunity to instill that passion in others and guide them to reach their full potential,” junior OWL coordinator Cynthia Ramirez said.
For any questions regarding the application, email the coordinators at orientation@laverne.edu.
