‘Ode to Ireland’
Michael Ryan, instructor of music, will perform traditional Irish music in “An Ode to Ireland” at 6 p.m. Sunday in Morgan Auditorium. Admission is free for University of La Verne students. There is a $20 suggested donation for general admission.
‘Heroes and Legends’
The ULV Chorale and Chamber Singers will perform “Heroes and Legends” 3 p.m. Saturday in Morgan Auditorium. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted.
The Carlson Gallery presents “The Driest Seasons: California’s Dust Bowl,” a photographic documentary on the social effects of the drought on farming communities in the San Joaquin Valley by Los Angeles Times staff photographer Michael Robinson Chávez. The gallery is located on the ground floor of Miller Hall. The exhibit runs through March 24.
The West Gallery presents Jessica Wimbley’s “Recent Work,” which integrates photography, drawing and painting into single images. The exhibit runs through March 31. Admission is free. The West Gallery is located in the Campus Center and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Cal Poly Pomona Wind Ensemble and Concert Band will perform “Americana” at 8 p.m Monday at the University Theatre on the Cal Poly campus. Tickets are available for $10 online at csupomona.tix.com or at the recital hall box office from noon-1 p.m. weekdays and one hour prior to show time.
