A last minute change of venue was no issue for clothing store Top Acid’s concert event Wednesday at Underground DTSA in Santa Ana.
The lineup included Burger Records-related heavyweights such as Enjoy, Guantanamo Baywatch and the Lovely Bad Things. Other performers included Seaweed Party, Pity Party and Gooch Palms.
Psych group Levitation Room had the audience grooving as couples embraced and danced with one another. They concluded their set with “Crystal Ball” and a wave of applause.
Indie rock band Playdate had the audience jumping and dancing with its energetic songs. The energy heightened and the mosh pit intensified when they performed their single, “At Your Convenience.”
The Lovely Bad Things rocked the venue as fans went wild to “I Just Want You To Go Away.” Despite the lighthearted atmosphere during their set, frontman Camron Ward addressed the recent stabbing of Anaheim resident Nathan Alfaro.
“What happened was f***ed up,” Ward said. “No one should have to go to a venue and worry if they’re gonna get hurt. You should all be kind to each other.”
Enjoy excited the audience as he performed his relaxing tunes with a mosh pit contrasting his mellow ambience.
Despite the poor organization of venue change just three hours before the show, that did not dampen excitement and attendance for the event.
