Open Mic Night
Cabaret Student Productions will host an open mic night at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theatre.
Photo exhibition “Framing Armenia: Diana Markosian and Scout Tufankjian” will be on display starting April 3 in the Carlson Gallery. The self-named project examines the Armenian Genocide and the Armenian Diaspora. Markosian will give a lecture on hers and Scout Tufankijan’s work at 4:30 p.m. April 4 in Morgan Auditorium.
Kevin Moffett, the award-winning author of “Permanent Visitors” and “Further Interpretations of Real-Life,” will give a lecture at 5 p.m. April 6 in the Interfaith Chapel. Moffett has won the John Simmons Short Fiction Award and the Nelson Algren Award.
Glendora Chalk Festival
The city of Glendora will host its annual chalk festival, “Adventures in Story Land,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The festival includes an art competition for local artists, a talent competition and a costume competition. The event will also include music and face painting. ‘Veteranos of Pomona’
The dA Center of the Arts in Pomona is showing the exhibit “Veteranos of Pomona: Local Stories of Latinos in the Military,” until April 15. The exhibit is inspired by the stories of Latino veterans to connect present day youth to past generations. For more information, visit dacenter.org.
