Latinos lead education conference

Shayla Rivera, a NASA aerospace engineer turned comedian and motivational speaker, gives the keynote speech for the Latino Education Access and Development Conference Saturday in Morgan Auditorium. She spoke about her own life journey, from Puerto Rico to attending Texas A&M University for engineering, and to most recently transitioning to a career as a corporate trainer and stand-up comedian. Rivera encouraged the audience to work hard in their education, visualize future success and be bold in creating their own opportunities.
