When senior kinesiology major and softball catcher Angelica DeAngelo started her freshman year, the softball team’s squat lift record was 195 pounds. During her junior year DeAngelo broke the record twice, once in the beginning of the year squatting 200 pounds and again at the end of the year squatting 216 pounds. DeAngelo trained five days a week over the summer to break the record again. Last month, DeAngelo reset the record to 235 pounds. / photo by Audrey Gaudette
