Call for Artists

The College of Law in Ontario is looking for artists to display their work in its gallery space for an upcoming exhibit in May. The exhibit’s theme is “Travels on the West Coast.” Artists may submit their work to curator Catalina Lopez at clopez4@laverne.edu with attachments of images or a digital portfolio by March 31.

‘Water Works’

Adjunct Professor of Communications Danielle Eubank showcases her new solo exhibit “Water Works” at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum through March 25. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children. The museum is located at 3900 Bluefin Circle in Oxnard. For more information visit cimmvc.org.

‘Radiant Reading’

Gallery goers can help local Girl Scout Emma Ibarra earn her Gold Award by attending a fun special needs reading event from 6 to 7 p.m. March 24 at the dA Center for the Arts in Pomona.

Battle of the Bands

Bands will compete at the Glasshouse in Pomona to perform at this summer’s Vans Warped Tour. Tickets are $12 and doors open at 6:30 p.m. The first band will hit the stage at 7 p.m.

SoCalMFA 2018

SoCalMFA organizers collaborated with Claremont Graduate University to present California MFA exhibition in Millard Sheets’ newly-renovated facility.

The opening reception is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. March 25. The gallery is located at the Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Avenue in Pomona.
