‘In the Air

The Carlson Gallery is currently featuring “In the Air: A Photographic Investigation of the Instances and Processes That Give Rise to Airborne Particles,” a series of environmental photographs by Christine Carr. The exhibit runs through Oct. 21. 

Admission is free.

Brent Pella

Comedian Brent Pella will perform in the Campus Center Ballroom at 10 p.m. Sept. 27.

His sketches and music videos have been featured on Funny or Die, College Humor, BroBible, The Chive and Worldstar Hip-Hop.

The event will include free food and a giveaway, as well as free admission.

Trio Ellas

The Latin Grammy nominated group Trio Ellas, a modern and unique female mariachi trio, will kick off this year’s Sundays at the Morgan concert series at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 in Morgan Auditorium. 

There will be a suggested donation.

Latinx Culture Festival

The Exploring Latinx Culture through Food and Music festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sneaky Park. 

‘Secrets for the Moon’

The current Harris Gallery exhibit “Secrets for the Moon,” featuring the works of Ichiro Irie and Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia, runs through Oct. 25.

Admission is free.

Open Mic Night

Come to the Alley Gallery in the Pomona Arts Colony for poetry and open mic nights every Sunday and Monday night from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Gallery is at 101 S. Main St. in Pomona. 

Admission is free.

Tijuana Panthers rock out at the Glass House

The streets of Downtown Pomona was a bustling scene Friday night, filled with live music blaring out of every other door in the Arts Colony. On Second Street alone, from the Glass House to The Haven, there were three different shows happening simultaneously. 

Pomona Art Walk spotlights Black business

The African American Advisory Alliance held their monthly black marketplace at the art walk this Saturday to showcase black businesses, entertainment and art in Downtown Pomona.
