Trio Ellas 

The Latin Grammy nominated group Trio Ellas, a modern and unique female mariachi trio, will kick off this year’s Sundays at the Morgan concert series at 6 p.m. Sunday in Morgan Auditorium. 

There will be a suggested donation at the door. 

One Book, One University 

David Finkel, author of this year’s One Book, One University title, “Thank You For Your Service,” will visit campus for two lectures Oct. 10.

Finkel will deliver a students-only lecture at 11:45 a.m. in the Athletics Pavilion, followed by a keynote lecture open to the public at 3:30 p.m. in Morgan Auditorium. 

Both events are free.

‘In the Air’ 

The Carlson Gallery is currently featuring “In the Air,” a series of environmental photographs by Christine Carr. The exhibit runs through Oct. 21. 

Admission is free. 

‘Secrets for the Moon’ 

The Harris Gallery exhibit “Secrets for the Moon,” featuring the works of Ichiro Irie and Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia, runs through Oct. 25. 

Admission is free.

Poetry Festival 

The Office of Diversity and Inclusivity will host a poetry festival at the dA Center for the Arts in Pomona from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Oct. 8. 

Admission is free. 

Tall Wall Space 

An artist reception for the new installation, “Edifice Artifice” by Cole M. James will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in the Arts and Communications Building.

The piece is a new installation in the Tall Wall Space and consists of multiple different fabrics.

Admission is free.
