‘Encounters’
The University of La Verne art department is hosting “Encounters,” seven temporary installations by different members of the studio art faculty, throughout the fall 2019 semester.
Each installation will be on display for 11 days through Dec. 13 on the second floor of the Arts and Communications Building, near room 212.
Admission is free.
‘Imagine’
The Claremont Museum of Art exhibit “James Strombotne: Imagine” features art from one of the last remaining still active Claremont artists from the 1950s and 1960s.
Strombotne’s work displays an abstract response to the physical world.
The museum is open noon to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday through Dec. 1.

Pumpkin Nights
The Fairplex in Pomona is hosting its Pumpkin Nights Festival through Nov. 3.
The half-mile path features extravagant displays of over 3,000 pumpkins, both hand carved and synthetic, featuring themes of an enchanted forest, a pirate cove and a pumpkin reef.
The celebration also includes a fire show, face painting, food and outdoor movie screenings.
The event is open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Village Venture
The Claremont Chamber of Commerce will present its 38th Annual Village Venture Arts and Crafts Faire featuring 400 booths of original art, crafts and apparel.
Located in the Claremont Village, the event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26.
