Homecoming

Homecoming week kicks off with an event from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday in the Campus Center Ballroom.

The Enchanted Tiki Room will be in the Hanawalt Courtyard from noon to 2 p.m.

The Pixar Pier will be at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m Wednesday in Sneaky Park. 

This event will be followed by Main Street Cinema from 10 p.m. to midnight in the Citrus Courtyard.

The Toy Story Mania will be at 10 p.m. to midnight Thursday in the Citrus Courtyard and Leo’s Den.

The street fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19 in Sneaky Park.

The football game against Whittier will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 19 at Ortmayer Stadium.

Claremont Vigil 

There will be a candlelight vigil hosted by the House of Ruth in Claremont from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 to honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence. 

The event is co-sponsored by the Pomona Police Department and Foothill Family Service. 

Oak Tree Fest 

St. Dorothy Catholic Church in Glendora will host its 40th anniversary Oak Tree Festival Oct. 18-20. The fair runs 6 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. 

There will be live music, carnival rides and games, and more.

To gear up for the University of La Verne football team’s Homecoming game, the Campus Activities Board hosted a pep rally for students on Nov. 5 in Sneaky Park. The event included food trucks, music, and free giveaways.
