Chamber Music

The Chamber Music for Strings and Piano ensemble will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday in Morgan Auditorium.
The performance will showcase a combination of sounds from the romantic period of music, and will feature five different musicians. Admission is free.

‘Spirit of Ireland’

Michael Ryan and Friends will perform “Spirit of Ireland” at 6 p.m. March 8 in Morgan Auditorium.
Focusing on Irish dance and music, the performance will feature Irish pub songs and traditional Celtic music. Admission is free.

‘An Enemy of the People’

The theater department is presenting “An Enemy of the People” on April 23 to 25 and May 1 to 3.
The play follows a physician and his moral dilemmas regarding the truth of what he discovers. Admission is free.

Arts and Wine Festival

The Wrightwood Arts Center will host the 2020 Wrightwood Arts and Wine Festival Sept. 19. The arts center is currently looking for local artists within the Inland Empire, Antelope Valley, Apple Valley and San Gabriel Valley to participate. The last day to apply for participation is April 1. For more information, visit wrightwoodarts.com/festival.

‘Euclidean Gris Gris’

The art exhibit “Euclidian Gris Gris” at the Pomona College Museum of Art explores the identity of African Americans who were stripped from their identity through slavery and colonialism. The exhibit runs through May 17. Admission is free.

Irish themed concert brings audience to their feet

A fun-filled, sometimes classical, sometimes Irish pub style hand-clapping evening of Irish cultural music and dance captivated a near capacity audience on Sunday at the “Spirit of Ireland” themed concert in the University of La Verne’s Morgan Auditorium.
