Friday Nights Live music at Shelton Park, at Bonita and Harvard avenues in Claremont, featured did not disappoint last week. The weekly outdoor conference featured the cover band The Silverados. The show opened with Journey’s “Separate Ways” before an audience of roughly 150.
“I love the small community and the atmosphere, and the music is fantastic especially because it’s from our era of music,” said Claremont resident Sherman Early who attended the show with his granddaughter who ran around with a chocolate covered shirt and face.
“I like the outside and nice weather and just love the music they play,” said Rosie Mayzum, who also attended the Friday event.
Before the night came to an end, the band played more ’80s favorites.
Besides Shelton Park, Friday Night Live has two other outdoor locations. Last week Mark Dzula played in front of the Chamber of Commerce on Yale Avenue, and the Mike Taylor Quartet played at the Village Plaza on North Indian Hill.
Friday Nights live runs May through October. For more information, visit facebook.com/fridaynighstlive.
