San Dimas hosted its annual Christmas parade with the theme “Let It Snow” Saturday on San Dimas and Bonita avenues.
The parade took up a good portion of the downtown area, which was also taken up with the Holiday Extravaganza, where families took photos with Santa. There were also arts and crafts, games, vending trucks and a beer garden.
Parade watchers bundled up as the chill in the air made it feel like Christmas.
The smell of buttery popcorn filled the air, Christmas music played and some kids wore Santa hats, reindeer antlers or light-up head gear.
Many local organizations had booths set up promoting their businesses, while performers made their way down the parade route.
Some San Dimas residents attend the event every year, like Michele Searcy, who noted how the parade has grown over the years.
The Holiday Extravaganza was sectioned off, making it easy for guests to find their way around the area.
One section, Grinch-Ville, hosted the beer garden, food trucks and bounce houses for kids.
The local Life Pacific University hosted “Elf Village” for games and activities, snow, slides and more.
The Parade opened with San Dimas police officers followed by dancers, baton twirlers and marching band members, making “Let It Snow” come to life.
