Javier Álvarez’s ‘Prédio’
The Irene Carlson Gallery of Photography exhibit displays photographer Javier Álvarez’s ‘Prédio.’ The exhibition presents about 400 people occupying offices adapted into rooms of 50 to 100 square feet under a decent housing solution. “Prédio” runs through March 24 in Miller Hall.
‘Humanifestation’ Student Exhibition
“Humanifestation” is a University of La Verne photography student exhibition exploring human disruption in nature. Displayed is work by senior photography major Nareg Agopian, senior criminology major Drake Ingram, senior photography major Darcelle Jones-Wesley, senior photography major Casi Martinez, senior photography major Natalie Medrano, junior journalism major Abelina J. Nuñez and junior digital media major Amanda Torres. “Humanifestation” is on view until March 24 in Miller Hall’s Ground Floor Gallery.
‘Asymmetrical Orbits’
Harris Gallery at the University of La Verne’s new exhibition, “Asymmetrical Orbits,” features sculptures by artists Linda Nguyen Lopez, Jon Pylypchuk, Nicolas Shake, Vincent Tomczyk and Connie Martin Trevino. Harris Gallery is open Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment. The exhibition is on view until March 23.
Glass House
Headliners The Buttertones will be performing at the Glass House Saturday. Faerybabyy and Wyatt Blair will also perform that night. Doors open at 7 p.m. and is located at 200 W. Second St. in Pomona.
Naomi Hudson-Knapp
An opening reception for “You Are Here,” an exhibit of paintings by Naomi Hudson-Knapp, will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Crescent Tree Gallery in Claremont. Admission is free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through April 30. The Crescent Tree Gallery is located at 206 W. Bonita Ave in Claremont.
