Dining workers strike for fair wages

Teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District joined bus drivers, cafeteria workers and paraprofessionals in a three-day “sympathy strike,” resulting in more than 65,000 personnel absences and bringing classes to a halt from March 21 to 23.

University of La Verne faculty and administrators attended the Faculty Mentorship Launch Mixer that was hosted by the Office of Diversity and Inclusivity on March 16 in the Ludwick Center courtyard.

Following the ongoing battle with an expired contract and a fight for higher wages, University of La Verne Bon Appétit workers joined together on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. to confront University administration and delegate their needs. 

Bon Appétit employees participate in a walkout from The Spot on Tuesday in protest of what they say are unfair working conditions and an outdated union contract.
