Track and field athletes set personal bests at Azusa

The men’s track and field team competed in the APU Franson Last Chance meet last weekend, hosted at Azusa Pacific’s Cougar Athletic Stadium. 

Scoring the highest for the Leopards in fourth place was senior David Lara, who set a collegiate personal best in the javelin with a distance of 49.28-meters. 

Another high scorer for the Leopards was sophomore hurdler Joshua Collier, who finished eighth with a time of 53.40. 

Also setting a collegiate personal best for himself was junior distance runner Andres Flores-Marquez. He came in 79th place with a time of 2:03.59 for the 800-meter race. 

Junior distance runner T.K. Berhe placed 26th out of 99 other runners to set a personal best time of 14:30.96 in the 5,000-meter race.
