Water polo begins practice for upcoming season

The solo goalie for the men's water polo team, junior transfer student Eric Bates, works hard at practice Aug. 31 at the La Verne Aquatic Center to prepare for last weekend’s Loyola Marymount Invitational Tournament. The Leopards had a packed weekend with back-to-back games Saturday. In the Leopards’ first game, Occidental found the victory, 20-9, but La Verne freshman forward Jordan Baker made his game debut, scoring five points.
