Supertents celebrate 50th anniversary

Hacer’s sculpture “Rabbit, Sitting” stands outside Dailey Theatre. The University of La Verne is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Supertents this year. The main structure of the Tents was originally the school’s Student Center, home to student activities, a snack bar, the communications department, art department, physical education department and a gymnasium. Now it is now the Athletic Pavilion, home to the Leopards’ athletic teams. The smaller structure has housed Dailey Theatre and the theater arts department since it opened in 1973. / photo by Kim Toth
