Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

This is a call to all students to ensure that you are registered to vote in the 2024 election. This is undoubtedly the most important election in my lifetime; on the ballot are women’s rights, reproductive rights, veterans’ benefits, educational freedom, gay rights, religious freedom and numerous other vital issues. For example, one party is trying to eliminate Pell Grants and triple the interest rates on student loans and is also proposing another huge tax break for the wealthy. It’s time for all students to look toward the future and vote according to what you want for this nation and for your children and grandchildren. Educate yourself about the issues, help educate others, encourage family and friends to do the same, and let’s all help create an America that lives up to its promises.
