Sundays at the Morgan

Grammy award winning conductor and pianist Grant Gershon and his wife, soprano Elisa Johnston, will perform for a memorable musical evening in Morgan Auditorium, located inside Founders Hall. 

The longtime tradition of Sundays at the Morgan will serenade guests at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Pomona Art Walk

Vendors, galleries and live music will fill Second Street in Pomona from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m Saturday for the Arts Colony’s second Saturday Pomona Art Walk. Many out-of-the-way gallery and exhibition rooms can be found throughout the Arts Colony along with local punk bands performing in alleyways.

Overspray: The Second Verse

Pomona’s art supply store Overspray has moved to Third Street, close to the Fox Theatre in the heart of downtown. The store will host its grand re-opening starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at 158 W. Third St. A live exhibition by artists Man One and Saints, along with a lineup of DJs spinning vinyl will be on hand to celebrate the store’s re-opening reception.

Scripps Dances ’24

The Scripps College dance department will showcase a variety of contemporary dance styles, such as this year’s “Drive” choreographed by artist Kyle Abraham in collaboration with A.I.M, Abraham’s dance company, at 8 p.m. Friday, and at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday in the Garrison Theater at 231 East 10th Street in Claremont. Five dance majors will perform their senior choreography thesis, with additional performances by other dance students.

Coldplay Piano Tribute Concert

A candlelit piano improvisation concert covering Coldplay’s top hits, will give a gentle ambiance to the BC Church of Ontario located at 536 N. Euclid Ave. at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
