The Campus Activities Board hosted a Cruisin’ Commuters event Tuesday in Sneaky Park.
Commuter events are important here, as more than half of the undergraduate students are commuters.
Boths offered food and other goodies. There were plant-based tacos and lemonade.
Activities included making foldable, cardboard lowriders and painting, keeping students engaging with each other.
The event attracted a variety of commuters.
“It’s more to help students come together and find their own kind of people,” said Danika Noriega, senior business administration major. “A lot of students come in and all you hear is ‘Oh, what’s going on?’ or ‘Let’s go talk to this person or that person,”
CAB events are among the many community engagement events at the University.
