‘Light, Shadow, and Legacy’
The Irene Carlson Gallery presents an exhibition from the ULV photo department alumni. “Light, Shadow, and Legacy” will run until Dec. 12. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
‘Halloween Choral Concert’
The music department will present the “Halloween Choral Concert” featuring the La Verne Chorale at 7 p.m. on Saturday in Morgan Auditorium. For more information email music@laverne.edu. Tickets are free for students and $20 for everyone else.
‘Studio Focus–COLOR!’
The “Studio Focus–COLOR!” art exhibit features acrylic paintings made by students in the Painting I class from the spring 2025 semester. The works from art students are on display in the West Gallery on campus until Dec. 1. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. ‘In Context’
“In Context,” a film seminar series intended to help students develop awareness of their environment and politics is 7 p.m. every Friday in ACB 212. This week’s film will be “Ridicule” on Friday. The film is a comedy about 18th century France and aristocratic corruption. The series will feature the film “You Are What You Eat” on Oct. 31.
‘In Their Hands’
The American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona is currently featuring an exhibition titled “In Their Hands: The Evolution of Mata Ortiz Pottery.” The exhibit’s goal is to explore the crossing of cultures through pottery and the resulting resilience. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and the exhibit runs through Dec. 21. Tickets are $14 for adults, $7 for students and free for kids 12 and under.
