Leo Food Pantry to increase November distribution

The Leo Food Pantry, located in the Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research, will increase the distribution from once this month to twice in response to the federal government shutdown and the loss of SNAP food assistance.  

Distribution dates will be Nov. 10 to Nov. 14. and Nov. 24 to Nov. 26. 

To receive a bag, students must fill out a form which can be found on the Leo Food Pantry page on the University of La Verne website.

The pantry offers four types of food bags depending on dietary needs: regular, vegetarian, kosher and halal. 

The bags have canned foods, fresh produce and more.

Community members who can are encouraged to donate to the Pantry, see the Campaign for Basic Relief page for how to. 

Students who are SNAP eligible may also apply to the student emergency fund. 

This fund gives limited financial grants to currently enrolled students.
