The Office of International Services and Study Abroad Program hosted a Mix and Mingle on March 5 in the Ludwick Center.
With roughly 15 students in attendance, the event offered a positive and welcoming environment for international students.
Students gathered at tables, conversing and enjoying a selection of catered food. The event was designed to give students a chance to connect and appreciate the University’s diverse cultures.
“Events like this (are) always a good way to … gain fruitful experiences among your peers,” said Brooklyn Clark, a sophomore and student employee at the International Services and Study Abroad Program.
“A lot of our international students feel comfortable being in a space with people who share the same cultural background,” said Maribel Rodriguez, director of the office of international services.
The Office also has information sessions for those interested in study abroad.
“Cultural connections are a great way for students to learn new perspectives,” International Student Advisor Jim Brooks said.
